The Chinese military actions and rhetoric are essentially a dublicate of the Soviet Union in the 1950s forward. I love China for many things from certain people to arts, and their rich history. I want to go their and I want to Chines wife, which I pursue. However, the vast majority of China is living in conditions virtually unchanged from from Chinese feudal times over 1000 years ago. I recall from when I was in China noting whole cities where all but one or two building would not be immediatly razed in the U.S. Imaging a 10 story building with not a single peice of glass, with 20 people living a single apart with pigs and goats, and cooking inside on a open flame. The entire poored concrete building black with decades of soot and grease. And it was one an endless of poverty that make Appalachian Hillbillies look only simple in comparison. Diverting the countrie’s treasure in large scale for the glory of global China military superiority, or prolonging the inevitable U.S. economic collapse by buyin U.S. bonds that will be worthless soon, does not sound like wise and prudent strategic plan. There are probably two things a moderning third-world country needs less than anything: investing bugetary surpluses in an end-of-life currency so they can lose it and building a massive war machine at a time and place where there no need or motivation to go to war with anyone due to a growing history stability and a very high liven of economic interdependence. If I we to place a bet, I would say the current gov’t of China will no exist in less than 20 years. By that time the majority of the country will be made of zealous Christians and a seechange of ideaology wil motivate progressive reforms until the difference between the China of tomorrow compared to the China of today will even great than the difference between the China of today and the China at the time of Nixon. It is leftism by Americans, mostly American woman as the largest enemy of a our free state, that will like send many of us fleeing to China to escape the total political and economic collapse into authoritarian socialism that most woman will be resonsible for creating.
