PLA Navy’s tiny trimaran rescue ship

2012-10-08 — China’s 2nd newly built trimaran rescue ship recently was exposure, and this vessel was just brushed on hull number of “东救-335 (Dongjiu-335)”. It is believed that another same model trimaran rescue ship is the “北救-143 (Beijiu-143)”. Some Chinese resources believe that these two trimaran ships are using state-of-the-art water jet propulsion unit. The Chinese characters “东救” (Dongjiu) means the rescue operations in eastern direction and indicates the ship is under PLA Navy Eastern Fleet, as well as Beijiu-143 vessel is under Northern Fleet.
