PLA holds academic conference on medical ethics

2012-08-13 — The 7th Academic Conference on Medical Ethics of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was unveiled on August 9, 2012 at the No.208 Hospital under the Shenyang Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA. The theme of the conference is to discuss “practicing the spirit of serving the people”.

Experts and professors engaging in the teaching and study of medical ethics as well as management staff engaging in the construction of medical ethics and medical conduct from some hospitals of the PLA attended the conference.

The conference summarized and reviewed the achievements made by the hospitals of the troop units in the aspects of medical ethics and life ethics in recent years.

Attendees listened to the report made by the No.208 Hospital with the theme that the hospital “possesses the strong spirit of serving the people”, discussed how to build the harmonious doctor-patient relationship from the ethics point of view and put forward the measures of strengthening the current construction of medical ethics and medical conduct for the hospitals of the troop units.
