2011-08-05 (China Military News cited from http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Asia/Story/STIStory_698885.html") -- CHINESE media on Friday warned the Philippines against building up its military presence in disputed areas of the South China Sea, amid a deepening rift between the two countries.
A strongly worded editorial in the China Daily accused Manila of infringing 'China's territorial integrity' and said the Philippines could pay 'a high price' for misjudging the issue. The Philippines was 'not taking seriously' an agreement struck by Beijing and Association of South-east Asian Nations members in Indonesia last month 'to solve the maritime disputes in peace', the English language newspaper said.
The editorial came after a weekend Philippine Star newspaper report that the Philippine navy would soon complete a shelter to 'protect troops guarding and securing the country's maritime domain' on an island claimed by both countries.
The shell-like structure the navy began building in May is on an island called Patag by the Philippines and Feixin by China - part of the Spratlys chain which is also wholly or partially claimed by Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Tensions in the decades-old dispute escalated this year amid accusations from the Philippines and Vietnam that China was becoming increasingly aggressive in staking its claims to the sea, which the Philippines calls the West Philippine Sea. Manila has accused Chinese forces of harassing an oil exploration vessel and shooting at Filipino fishermen.
The Philippine navy is awaiting the arrival of a newly-purchased US-built coast guard ship the Star said would be used to 'secure natural resources' - which the China Daily said have been tapped in 'illegal' projects.

China is ready to defend what us theirs, not some countries who pretends to be strong while holding their hands waiting for their white masters to come save them.

Except their white masters will not come, because their white masters are now China's white bitches. If Phillipine stations troops on the rock, they are fucked. The truth is, Phillipine does not want to fight China, they know they will loss. Unfortunately they have no choice because their white masters force them to do it. They are using poor little Phillipine as guinea pigs to test China's capabilities. Those Phillipino soldiers are nothing but sacrificial lambs sent to be slaughtered. When are the rest of Asia going to wake up, and stand up for ourselves. STOP BEING THOSE WHITE APES' BITCHES, STOP FIGHTING EACH OTHERS! United we stand, divided we fall!

Destroyers, Frigates, SSBNS, SSNs, SSKs. A war would be pretty one sided for the Chinese.

Thats pretty wishful thinking. One single vessel from the Chinese navy such as the 092 alone could bring an entire country to its knees. The first missile fired would be warning. The next 11 would be overkill.

It shouldnt be a problem. China is the largest shipbuilder in the world. Over 50 million tons of shipbuilding per year. If the Chinese wish to build build over 40 vessels weighing 100,000 tons each. The shipbuilding industry wouldnt notice the allocation of resources.

That is so absurd. There is no evidence of any sub leak. And why would an 092 need to be on patrol in order to fire a missile? The 092 has a ballistic range of 2000km while the 094 has a ballistic range of over 8000. Any country in the pacific would be bought down by a single 092 alone.

Why would China not have the technology to build more ships? It already is the largest ship builder in the world. Whether they be surface ships or submarines. All the CCP needs to do is order more vessels from its domestic ship builders.

Spratleys is claimed by some of these defenseless people. The philippines and the vietnamese arent exactly powerful nations. We saw that during the Battle of Fiery Cross Reef.

You have got to be kidding me. The naval gap between China, vietnam, and the philippines is greater today than it ever was back in the 1980s. The result of any naval battle would be even more lopsided than it was then. Having philippinos protest is just too funny.

Apparently you have not gone in any parts of the world to see for yourself what economic damage the Filipinos can inflict if attacked by China. For starters, half of the world's merchant marine are Filipinos. Have you gone on a cruise in Mediterranean or Central America? Have you visited a hospital in Los Angeles or San Francisco? Have you gone to a mall in Riyadh? Hyatt Hotel in Aruba? Walked the streets of Milan? Looks like you're all tilted to simply military without knowledge of your the world you leave in.
70% of your money's are derived from exports using various forms of transportation such as shipping i.e.Cosco, air transportation, etc. Very easy to cripple your economic machine because its visible in our daily life. You'll easily come to a grinding halt if every Filipino does just one stupid thing and inflict heavy damage as a retaliation to your invasion of its mother country. It maybe far fetched but if a person is pushed against a wall, it has to retaliate and survive right?

Half of the world's merchant marine are built by Chinese companies. I just dont consider an argument regarding philippino immigrants very seriously. Its cool that they are over the place, and I hope the philippinos send more. So there more Asian dudes around the world. hehe..
But like I said, I dont think its relevant in geopolitical matters.

why dont we upgrade nanotechnology, solar panels, wind mills, geothermal and etc.. it does not destroy our environment...we dont have to fight each other you know.. in the case of china and ph, china is a powerful country and the ph is only a speck to them..thats why it is easy for them to challenge the ph... why dont china challenge u.s, russia, britain, india, germany, france, and other military powers? see?... they could not because they want to fight only those who are weaker than them like the ph,..but thanks to china, because i think, ph is now awake.. and is fast upgrading its deteriorating national defense... ph soldiers is one of the best in the world, only it is very ill equipt that it cannot do its real mandate...

Filipinos are stubborn and often foolish. We tend not to back-out even when the opponent is bigger and more powerful. We've proven this time and again against the Spaniards, Americans, and Japanese. If China comes knocking on our doorsteps we are more than welcome to invite them into our slaugherhouse. But to what avail? Why not mutually develop energy technologies together in order to help both countries improve upon the needs of their people? China is powerful because they manufacture whatever the world needs even for the Philippines, imagine if they can give ttyhe world and themselves cheap energy.
