Beijing, Jan 08 (China Defense Mashup Report by Johnathan Weng) — This newest unleashed photo is about China’s WS-18 Turbofan Engine for PLA Air Force most powerful H-6K bomber. WS-18 is developed by CEGC (Chengdu Engine Group Company) and passed the trial first flight in early 2007, according to CEGC news. Chinese Internet resources say that WS-18 is copied from Russia’s Д-30КП2 (D-30K2) Turbofan Engine. Perhaps WS-18 will be prepared for China’s future large airlift’s first flight in 2012.
