December.29 (China Military News Reporting by Johanthan Weng) -- The "Snow Leopard Commando", which has repeatedly performed outstanding service in numerous national major security tasks and esteemed as the most elite special force of Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF), has gotten new equipment again. The New Fiberscope Tactical Surveillance System called as "Cobra" is now on probation in the commando.
According to introduction, most of the hostage-freeing operations both at home and abroad adopt the method of waiting for the opportune moment to open fire and shoot the criminals to death or open fire and shoot the criminals to death after luring them into exposure. This practice is highly dangerous and takes a long time. The "Cobra" is a special weapon integrated with long-distance surveillance, having such functions as concealing the user, reconnoitering the enemy situation and searching the target. With this system, the commandos can subdue the criminals and control the situation in a short time in extreme environment.
The system is portable and agile. As the appearance of the front reconnaissance and attack hose of the system is like a cobra, it can stretch into the place where the criminals are putting up desperate resistance through tube hole of air conditioner, window crack and door crack.
As the head of the "cobra" system is controllable, it can rise to look around after it stretches into the place where the criminals are and then transmit the on-spot scene to the commanding personnel through its micro-wave transmission system to facilitate the command center to promptly make disposal plan and coordinate the command.
It is strange that the "Cobra" system is featured by some kind of "attack" system. How do Chinese technicians realize this function? The answer is still unknown.
This system is developed by Zhang Dianfu (张殿富), who is a professor of APF Engineering College.
