December.15  (China Military News Reporting by Johnathan Weng) –  PLA’s Type 96 122-mm howitzer is a Chinese copy of well-known Russian D-30 cannon. Its barrel length is 30 times of the caliber. The full-weight is 3.2 tons and the fire speed is up to  6-8 rounds per minute, with 360 degree of traverse. The effective range is 15 km and the maximum range is 21 km. Type 96 122-mm howitzer now is mainly operated in PLA Air Force 15th Airborne Army.
