Beijing, Feb.14 (China Defense Mashup Report by Johnathan Weng) — As we have known. in1990s China imported Russia’s S-300 missile systems, by which China began to build a modern air defense system. By the technological supports from Russians and using experiences of using S-300 missile, China developed HQ-9 missile and began to deploy this new air-shield in about 2003 or 2004. But is is usually very hard for people to differentiate S-300 and HQ-9 missile system, because HQ-9 has inherited too much gene of S-300 missile. Now the question has been solved, some Chinese people tell us how to distinguish these twins.
