Beijing, Dec.04 (China Defense Mashup Report by Johnathan Weng) — China Department of Defense today announces that China and India will have a jointl anti-terror drill in Belgaum, India. China has sent a company level troop of 137 soldiers, which has been transported by IL-76 Lifter and arrived at one India airport on 6:10 (local time).

Huang Xueping, spokesman of Chinese DOD, said that this joint training is being carried out according to the Memorandum of Understanding for Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Defense signed in 2006 and is listed in the annual exchange plans for 2008 after discussion of the two sides.

And Huang urges that this drill was set previously and has no specified background and is not aimed at any third parties. The two countries once held their first joint anti-terrorism military training in Kunming, southwest China’s Yunnan Province last year.
