Lol anyway, from what I've read, the reason why the Chinese army didn't advance any further is because they have reached their goal, which is to occupy the claimed region. Although the supply lines were stretched a bit, they were manageable, and the Indian logistics were falling apart as well. Delta, you also mention that the Chinese casualties may have been higher, but you must take into account of the fact that the Chinese army had to cross the Himalayas, which is hard to do without losing people to frostbite, pneumonia etc...
Also, the Chinese army did not need to fight on the plains, why fight on the plains when they can neatly trap their enemies using mountain trails and such?
