Apr.15 (China Defense Mashup Reporting by Johnathan Weng) — In these newly unleahsed photos, 4 KJ-2000 planes, PLA Air Force’s most advanced AWACS aircrafts has gathered in Wuxi Shuofang Airport (无锡硕放机场), Jiangsu Province, East China. KJ-2000 will defenitely be involved in the parade of 60th anniversary of New China. And the arrival of KJ-2000 fleet is probably for the rehersal of coming air parade. Besides, this year is also the 60th birthday of PLA Air Force, which maybe display more detailed information of KJ-2000′s development and performance.

They are not ‘shields’, just hangers. The KJ-2000 is not there to rehearse, they belong to the 26th Special Missions (Electronic Warfare) Division stationed there. The base is also home to 4 KJ-200s and the 78th Search and Rescue Regiment (Z-8 Helicopters)
